This was my last day of work in the Abbott Microbiology group. I am so excited for the next step in our lives, but it was very hard saying goodbye. I’ve been there for almost 11 years. People have come and gone over the years, but the whole group has been like family to me.
They threw me a great bon voyage potluck yesterday with so many of my favorites: fabulous lemon bars that remind me of the ones my mom used to make, homemade Pad Thai, a homemade Mexican soup (sorry I can’t remember the name), and so much more. They even made margaritas, although I think someone forgot to add the tequila. Regardless, it was a great send off.
I really worked with some great people. They were so knowledgeable and kind. I don’t think you could have a better group of people. Even the great people I knew primarily over instant messaging, down in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Brazil, they have been great friends who I will dearly miss.
Goodbye my friends!
